Just had the same done to my 05 cbr 1000rr, did a base run before making any changes.
Great advice at least you know where you have come from.
Fitted micron pipePower commander pc3 usb,
Did a run with zero map, (ie factory honda setup still) ran reasonably and fueling was useable but still out.Some horsepower and torque gains.
Then used a dynojet premade map for the bike and pipe, better but still not as good as it could be.
Then the real fun begins. Theres a lot more to this mapping and tuning than I ever new, after many roll ons and much sampling a new map was derived, It was a long way different to the premade buyable maps!!
And the gains in torque , hp , and acceleration rock.![]()
So in short the bolt on kits and premade maps are good but Im extremely pleased with my investment on the dyno to get a custom map.
Has made the bike a lot nicer to ride in my humble opinion.:spudflip:
