    And people say I'm mad

Saw this today parked outside work. Locked to the cycle-stand.

It is from 1924, no speedo, no lights, one brake.

And the owner commutes every day on it.

People called me mad for coming in thismorning with the ice, but the owner of this has balls.

Keep on riding Sir! I'll be having a drink on you tonight in thanks for your inspiration.

    If ya can, ya do.
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the evening,
    we will remember them

My old man used to ride an old Indian until he saw his mate kill himself by hitting a bridge pylon. Never ridden a bike since...

Why is it that every time I see an old Indian bike I want one?

Even the ones with the big mudguards I love. Great photo!

I "uni" at Christchurch hospital, more specifically the medical lab there.

He was a jolly fellow, I made sure I was allowed to post the pic online too.
Took a fair bit to kickstart it though.

Thats not mad, its fkin cool. Where would you even get rubber for it tho? Doubt its a standard stock item down at Cycle treads. Still, it would once have been considered normal to commute on one of them (70-odd years ago!)
