Mitech Tig Welder... Any use for bike builders?

I am looking at TIG welders and I was just wondering if anyone have used the Mitech units for bike building or general welding?

    Mitech spec's...

Anyone that used these unit's,please let me know what you think...

    Thanks.

I hope their Tig machines work better than that link you posted, bad penetration you might say.

There are a few people selling these - I assume you were looking at the AC/DC/pulse inverter. Goods Direct in AUckland lsit them as well. THey are Chinese, and based on overseas comments, they are good value, but for full time use, you wnat to buy a Kempi or Milelr, etc. THey do cost $6k instead of $2.2k tho...Don't bother with the DC scratch start ones. The HF start and pulser makes it a lot easier.
A foot pedal or torch mounted slider is a must have for fiddly work.
Make sure it comes with a regulator, or budget for it.
Make sure you can get consumables (cups, torch parts) easily from a local supplier, and that parts are available.
Like all electronic devices, the boards are special and expensive if they break. A Kempi main board was around $2k... In this case, it would be cheaper to buy a new welder.

Yes... deciding on a welder is freaking hard!!!

This will be my first Tig welder and I am still not convinced that I need a $3000+ unit. I wonder if the 3 in one unit's are of any use. They consist of a 40AMP plasma cutter,160Amp TIG and a 150Amp arc. They go for around $1500...

Would I need a AC/DC unit for building a chopper?

Depeneds if you want to make it out of ali or steel. Ac for ali. Dc for steel.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
