    Ceedy Cyrils CR Shop

Well its finally happened I am unemployed , drunk and have receintly discovered I am a screaming pervert.

Actually not all of those are true. But Ceedy Cyril ( Me) has indeed opened a bike shop,
I specialize in Cr Motocross bike of the Bob Hanna years 1982 until 1985 ( can get other stuff as well )

Now as there is oly one pair of hands ( Mine) nothing is finalized yet. I have 6 wheel to respoke. 3 engines to rebuild, This coffee to finish, and the workshop to finish

    In the mean time, I am breaking 1 x 1994 Cr 125, 1 x 1992 Cr 125 , 1x 1986/5 Cr250 1x 1992 Cr 250

The postage can hurt a bit , 2000 yen for a steel sprocket approx , But if you have been given that ole 6 weeks from japan run around, its 5 days . ( sometimes less) and if I have to order it , it takes 2 days from the warehouse ( longer if I have been drinking and have to be bailed for drunk and disorderly )

    Can do,
Suspension parts eg shims , bump stops springs etc, THOUGH if I know of a cheaper way I will point you in that direction
Gasket sets, Honda genuine and soon Vesrah but at the moment just Honda genuine
Ask about imports as they arent a problem.

I can do a whole lot of other things , such as brake rotors but at the moment they are just to expensive to be viable

No in all seriousness Shes off and running and as get the systems dialed in , will be able to offer cheaper fast services ( The pick up option is always available !)

What I will promise is honesty, and experience ( 20 years as a Mechanic and 10 of those as Honda ( factory trained ). With a Cert in Mech Eng. ie , If I can do it, it will be done , if I cant, or its to expensive I will try and point you to someone more qualified or cheaper and if its moonglow, please dont hesitate to email before wasting your money !

As soon as I get this web site thing figured out ( I can build a wheel, and turn on and off the computer till the blue screen of death appears , but web sites ....another thing to learn )

So what are the hot mods for the '79 XR250 then?

Other than a CR frame and engine

First I would set about find where the throttle actually is ( on the course you usually run ,tight and twisty or open flat out ) white paint on the grips , and a handy cam rigged to the crossbar? ( I would use a mates, one that you dont know to well ...just in case ) ..then devize a plan to move the max torque to slightly short of where you decide the average/best throttle position is...then go shopping , and that doesnt need to be expensive cams ... you can retime or use a smaller bore CV carb from another model ???

there are plenty of thing one can do

    Stephen

CR 250 are fast ..and I just so happen to have ,,,,,,
