Rally in wellington area today?

heading back from porirua to wanganui i must have seen about 50 bikes on the road....all headed south. was there a rally or something on? there was a group stopped at a food place on the foxton strait [didnt see till i was past already] and a group of harleys at the sanson markets. most of the bikes i saw waved back....group of 4 on the coast highway didnt and a harley passing a truck didnt see. mixture of sportsbikes and cruisers, even some road legal dirt bike looking things.

yes i noticed a lot of bikes yesterday and most waved but some were just up them selfs and didnt even look but thats life but didnt no any thing about a rally

Sounds like it was just a normal fine weekend turnout to me!

cheers guys...just seemed odd they were all heading south though. i didnt get passed by a single bike, which is odd.
