    Unhappy Observationally Challenged

Not sure if anyone has seen this picture ... It gives a lot of credence to the, "I didn't see you" line often bandied about with reckless abandon.

I went past that bent pole the other day and thought to myself "tut tut tut"

Too many knobs on his/her dashboard is my guess.

after 1/2 dozen serious crashes, including 1 fatal, i used to sit at the stop sign on swamp rd at the intersection of SH27, north of moronsiville.

the number of people who used to drive straight through it, some at 30-40km/h (radar speed checked), then say 'i didn't see you - there was no-one around', when i was sitting in full view at the stop sign on the other side, in a bright blue and yellow car with red and blue lights on the roof.......makes ya wonder.

it's one of the reasons the big green wind break was put up - to force people top slow and/or stop before enroaching onto what is a very fast stretch of state highway.

and yes, i used to write plenty on the highway too. most for over 130k. and only to dickheads for 111k. lots of druggies, stolen cars, pissheads and disqually drivers doing the rotorua/matamata to auckland run too. like the proverbial shootin' fish!
