went and got it on sunday.

Long very wet and extremely cold ride home on sunday night. Not so fun on shitty tyres either.

But it now resides in her garage and She should have her licence in about 12 or so day I think.

Second job hunting at the mo. Reveiwing finances showed that I can afford the payments and such but not gas to ride it, even just to work and back.

Already know what I go like on it, come down on a saturday and I'll "test ride" it again and show you...

May I bump this thread to note...

I have finally got my Learner's! Yes! Apart from being "back in blue" on my licence, it all seems pretty cool.

Apart from BHC/BHS which put me off (at least for the day). It's so hard learning to ride when you're used to hopping on the back and have someone else ride for you I am well afraid that I am going to fall off the first time a car so much as even looks in my direction.

I'm sure it's not a very well founded fear, but you know, I'm a bit girly about these things.

Haha, yes, I've heard ALL about target fixation. "If you LOOK at the ditch, then..."
It's quite weird though, coming from a cage and suddenly having to rely on your peripheral vision to "see" the road (I honestly thought I would hit half the cones in the BH test, but I guess pretty much everyone goes through that when they learn).

    Congratulations on the licence!

Don't worry about being "a bit girly". Just keep practising and it will all start coming together.

Thanks guys. I'm thinking I might just take an hour out of my study tomorrow (damn exams) and have a wee blat down my little cul-de-sac. And up again. And down again. Until I feel confident enough to make it to....

...the intersection! (Big booming drum noises)

And then it's all on, I tell you what.
