Long hair loose or tucked into back of jacket?

Ok for those of you with long hair do you tuck it into the back of your jacket or just leave it loose? I dont want it flicking round and covering my visor lol but i dont want it "pulling" if its tucked down my jacket. Any suggestions?

    If you are a male....
Depends on wether it's a mullet or not. If it is a mullet, let it hang. Otherwise if you have a "Fabio" doo, best tuck it in before cowpoos gets confused

    If you're a female....
Whatever makes you comfortable. Biker chicks with long hair are sexy.

I've often wondered when I've seen riders with long hair flapping around what would happen in the event of a crash. Sliding on the road with your hair being pulled out or getting wrapped around something. Scary.

I just let the mullet flap wildly. Mullets are supposed to be all wind whipped and matted. In all my time on the road, it has NEVER covered the visor (and it is long enough to)
There is no dark side of the moon, really, as a matter of fact. Its all dark...

Maybe you can get some answers here too...

And to answer your question: I plait it. Wearing it loose is just a mess.

I was told to tuck it in... so I do! Makes it less matted and tangled I guess

This lady knows what she is talking about!
I tie mine back at the base of my neck, then plait the rest.
When you spend as much as I do on my hair each year it pays to look after it.
A another tip to protect your hair is to use a light wax based shine additive product (I use Kerastase) and apply to your hair once tied back. Works wonders.

Yep, I do the same then pop the plait under my jacket, if it comes out, no big deal. Really hate it when I forget to plait it and it blows out the back, hubby thinks it looks cool, but then he's not the one who has to spend 20mins trying to rip a brush through a birds nest later! OOUUCCHHHH!!

For short trips under 100kph I put an extra hair tie on the very end and tuck it under my jacket.

For longer trips over 100kph I plait it, as I have had bad wind-tangles requiring the use of scissors from not taking enough care to stow my hair safely.

    My Solution

On slow rides i let my hairs loose, faster rides i usually shove my nose hair in with a tissue to stop it tickling

Yep like the others say I plait mine and tuck it into my jacket as best I can. Its such a biarch trying to brush the knots out of it if you dont... Other option is to get dreads, im very tempted to!
