Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

    Cool

Damn when did they put one up on the Te Atatu Off Ramp...?

Now I am gonna really have to behave when heading home now...
No more jumping the queue to get ahead of the traffic...

Edit: Just taken a closer look.... *Phew*.... I can pretend that I am going to Te Atatu Peninsula and at the last minute get into the Tat South lane... cos I will be out of camera shot... *Phew*

Heh, I can just imagine getting someone to log on before driving home after the pub to see where the police checkpoints are.

Why? Surely the under-resourced Polis won't have anyone watching them.

They must have someone watching them. Else they would have just been put up for the average Joe motorist. And that seems far too selfless.

Having said that, they'd be lucky to catch us if the pics are only updated every minute!

Haha, it would be awesome in the mornings. All these cars, inching forward on your computer screen as the camera changes each minute, like time delay photography. A bit like a strobe light.

And then all these random little bikes who are there in one frame and gone the next while all the cars around them just inch up the screen...

Oh wow, a traffic cam system for Auckland. Golly gee. Seriously, what's the point? So you live on the North Shore and work in Panmure. You log on to check flows. You are surprised that the bridge and the entire motorway is fucked. There is no other way to get to work. You're fucked.

I could of saved them a lot of money and taken photos of gridlock and posted it on a traffic web site.

It's been there about a year and a half at least....

What I'd really like to know is, what are the smaller cameras that are mounted slightly lower down on the same poles???
    Infra-red, low light?

Yeah I saw the truck putting the tall pole up recently.

Also on the Foodtown grounds on the corner of Edmonton Rd and Te Atatu Road in Te Atatu South, there is now a camera checking out the very busy roundabout.
I dont have the link to check out the camera shots of this one...
It could be connected to Waitakere City Council.
That has only just appeared in the last few days as well.
