Sad goodbye to a fellow biker mate

got a phone call from the uk late last week, Bruce a good friend of mine was killed in a head on with a car, 140mph impact speed. another friend who was following did all the right things, mouth to mouth cpr and all that but nothing could be done, what a tragic waste of life. Bruce was the most sensible rider i have ever known, rode a bmw r1150gs, done his advanced motorcycle riding exam and test, didnt take chances and had been riding on and off for the last 15 years. 39 years old and everything to live for, damn! life is cruel. friend who was following Bruce said he couldnt believe what he was seeing, bruce obviously thought the road ahead was clear and pulled straight accross to overtake a lorry, dont need to explain the rest. The coroners report stated that there were no broken bones at all, meaning Bruce was relaxed on impact and didnt expect any risk in his manouvre. internal injuries were extensive and were the cause of death.
I know none of you knew bruce or me in fact but just remember how fragile life is guys, it can all be over in a careless moment.
    God bless you Bruce.

sorry to be putting stuff like this down but dont really know many people in nz and this is the easy way to speak about it.

that sucks big time. at least he more than likely went easily and doing something he obviously loved. at that speed i doubt he would have felt much.

Always sad to hear of a tragic loss. My condolences.
Guess it just shows that no matter how experienced or careful you are - it only takes a moment for it all to turn pear shaped.
