    Middleweight comparison

Here's a link to a great comparison test between all the new midleweight sports machines.

    749
    R6
    ZX6R
    CBR600RR
    GSXR600
    Daytona 675

The results are a bit of a surprise to say the least, as are the measured weights of all the bikes.

    Enjoy

So what was the end? My work internet connection seemed to take a dislike to pages 9 onward.

Measured weight (pounds) empty tanks & dunslop qualifier tyres
    398 Hon
    396 K
    407 S
    390 T
    397 Y
    435 Duc

Shows (again) what lies weight stats are. 396 pounds is 180kg. Add about 18kg of gas & some slightly heavier tyres for the real world.

So what do they claim? Bahhh!

Shesh my CBX550 claimed 405 pounds. Where's the progress?
+they had those cool inboard brakes. Erm. . .

Nice link WT. Just goes to demonstrate that you can't go wrong whatever you buy these days.

Unless of course you buy anything but a GSXR.

Thanks for that Whitetrash. Now that was a comprehension bike comparison. Why, because it took a bloody long time to read.
I wîsh they had spilled the beans on their quick ECU tinkering that gave them a few more horses on the ZX!
Time to take WMCC up on the new demo they're offering. Still, in the end sounds like they all as close as a bees dick, except the yam, which is a limp bees dick below 10k. The paint job on the CBR wasn't too shabby either.

I prefer Yamaha pianos over Kawai. Always have.
