    Mid-week Ride This Weds (26/5)

Hi everybody. Antallica, his mate and I are planning to do a ride before the AK Spanner Evening tomorrow. We'll be leaving Whangarei about 10am. Should reach Wellsford by 11'ish, for those that want to join in here. Plan is to meet up with XJXJXJ (an any other riders that want to join us) at Owera McD's around 12noon (must ring him to confirm this). I plan to head out to Dairy Flats, then KKK and use to back roads arould Helensville, Waimauku, Kumeu and Waitakere before heading back Via Swason to Don Buck Rd and XJXJXJ's.

My contact Ph No. re: this ride is 027 534350

PS: Could those with up todate info on these areas please advise me on the state of these roads (tarseal only, road works, pea-metal, etc.).

    Thanks,

Antallica, his mate and I will now be leaving Whangarei Information Centre after 11am on this Wednesday and plan to have lunch @ Wellsford McD's around 12:30, for those that want to join in here. Plan is to meet up with XJXJXJ (an any other riders that want to join us) at Owera McD's @ 2pm (so XJXJXJ has time to pick-up son). Rest is still the same.

Will Just have to wake up tomorrow and see what it brings. If it's bad the ride will be off (persistant rain and wind). If it's really bad (very heavy rain, wind or hail) I'll come to the spanner evening in the Ute. Any worse than that I'll stay at home. Otherwise it's the CBR all the way

How well do you know the back roads around your area, Wari?
It's been a long time for me since I've used the roads South of Huapai/Kumeu (Awa, Tawa, Hamham, Taupaki, Red Hills, etc) and am rusty on which ones are tarsealed. Know Wellsford, KKK, Helensville, Peak Rd and Old North fairly well.

Does anyone organise rides to cater for slower riders like me?
Better still maybee a ride route that lets us arrive at the same place as you
fast guys by going by a shorter route
    Hi Frosty,

We have a mixed bunch that ride every couple of weeks, usually on a sunday morning. Those that go fast always stop and wait for the slow coaches like me, there's no pressure to ride fast. Your welcome to join us any time. Just PM me or Death your cell phone number, we usually send a txt to a few and whoever is free joins us. We're hoping to ride this Sunday if it's fine.

    Cheers, Draco
