Bye Bye riding for 12 months....

Well before you say,.."norty boy, how fast were you going?" I visited the doc specialist with regards to my epilepsy. They're concerned about a couple of things and have given me the suspension of licence.
    Also can't play sport.
    Oh,..and no alcohol allowed indefinitely.

    So, I've had better days.
Guess I am alive and it could be a lot worse...

Poor ZX-10 will have to sit in the garage with the occasional start-up.

Really sorry to hear, mate! Had a friend and a relative with this problem. Sucks about the licence but of course you don't need any lectures on that score. Hope the meds can get it under control, soon. Sympathies.

Holler out if you ever want me to "charge the battery" in the Wairarapa.

Seriously though, Bummer dude. At least your demerit points will look good in 12 months time.

    Cool

Damn, not good news to hear at all.

Still the dr's know best about this and as they say it is only for a year.

Good on you for keeping the bike. Store her well.

Ask around, that if she is gonna be stored for a year, that maybe she should be lifted up from standing on both wheels to protect the wheels/tyres etc.
Yet still be able to turn her over every so often.

You may have to empty the tank of any fuel every so often since she will be sitting for a year.

And you will still be partaking on KB and coming in with some great advise etc.

    Thanks all.

Bugger that I didn't have the 12 months through winter and then back in Summer.

Decided I think the ZX-10 needs a good spruce up.
How do you reckon it would look in the blue ZX-14 colour-scheme ?

SELL IT NOW AND BUY A CRASHED 04 ZX10 OR GIXXER1000 AND SPEND 12 MONTHS DOING IT UP

Years ago I knew someone who had siezures (not sure why) anyway, his mate's bike had a pack rack and he used to - i shit u not - put a rope around him on the pack rack and get him to keep his hand on his shoulder. The theory was that if he was seizing then his hand would slip off the shoulder and the rope would hold him while they stopped.

He had a ball of course, and as far as I know, didn't have a siezure whie riding.

    Bugger C

All the best though man. I'll be in your town soon for a night or two so I may pop in and say hi.

    Stu
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
