Although the car may be powerful and fast on the straights, there is a limit to how much power an S14 can put to the ground and drifting means losing speed (depending). In the right places your bike would piss on the car.

A factory S14, I would agree with you, but mine has got suspension upgrades and puts a shitload of rubber to the ground, 255 Eagle F1's on the rear and 235 F1's on the front. Those tyres are the shit, even in the wet they are amazing. Expensive as hell though.

Yeah, drift slows you down alright and it roots the chassis. Only in small doses. There are also very few SAFE places that proper drift can be sought...i.e. sideways before a corner, obviously needs to be a place where there wont be an oncoming vehicle to collect.

I have ridden the ZXR on most types of roads now, and can push it really quite hard, i have got to the point where i try and get faster and lower, but the back tyre slides, or sometimes the front a little bit...thats enough to crap the pants!

I have a pretty good idea on my entry and exit speeds, and know for a fact that I can do them much higher in the cage.

I know I need to play with the bikes suspension settings a bit more, the front has too much preload...so this might make a difference.

You need to play with them alot if the car has a massively higher corner speed compared to the bike (also rider too remember), granted a properly set up car with race suspension and race tyres will out handle a bike mid corner (by a bit), a s14 shouldn't have it over a zx2r by too much or at all when it's set up properly. One of my 'car enthusiast' mates was going on about how he could take a particular 35k corner at around 50 in his subey. My bike does around that in the WET, 80-85 in the dry with a mediocre stab at it... but that is probably not the best example. Lines play a big part of that corner (and others) and that's why I think the bike has the advantage on that corner in question, come in wide apex and exit wide, - the car can't do that at all really without breaking the law.

I'd love to get better and see what that s14 can do though, I'm sure we can sort something out

Exactly right, I would much rather enjoy anything fast and excilerating than choose only one. They both have their own good points.

Yea maybe, but its still a car...

they lean over a bit too much factory...body roll. SOme decent Coil Overs or high end springs with braces everywhere and the leaning stops...and the control begins.
That is probably one of the best things about the bike...the leaning. That and wheelies and stoppies...all be it very limited still.

the only sad day i had was the first day my new leathers got wet... but its all good now.... rain happens...
