New to a sports bikes - I have been riding a great big V-Twin cruiser (VL1500) for several years (predominantly in a laid back cruisy mode) but recently added a Daytona 955i to the stable. It didn’t take me long to realise that putting the Daytona through the twisties safely and tuned for maximum enjoyment was going to be a little different to the VL. If there is anyone out there who is keen to help out getting me through the transition (breaking, cornering, control transition etc.) please PM me. I am based on the North Shore.

If you want a mentor, DONT SIGN UP, go and view the mentor page and ask a registered mentor for help.
You only sign up if you WANT TO BE a mentor.

Just because you apply doesnt mean you get to be a mentor

Hey Quasi, are your stocks still lasting and do Uncle B and I get a shirt (each, or one to share is fine, we can take turns)

I've met up with M1CRO and he's looked after me on the Southern Motorway and the North Western Motorway. Did a bit of work at the RRRS course but that doesn't count as Mentoring really.

He did show me some advanced techniques on the way to the motorway though, paying close attention to signalling and road position.

How is the stock situation of T shirts?

D'oh - sorry - I followed these instructions from Biohazard's post early in the thread:

"To join as either a mentor or newbie follow these simple steps all four of em:

1/ Click on UserCP (top of page, bottom left of banner)
2/ Click on Group Membership link Bottom left of page.
3/ Follow instructions either join as a mentor or a newbie, put in your reason why you wish to join.
4/ Sit back and wait to be approved by an admin type person."

I will go and find me a mentor my own self - obviously you realised I wasn't applying to be a mentor. Maybe one day....(insert far off wistful gaze here...)
