What have you hit while riding???

Was driving to work this morning trying to score points along Ridge Road with the Pukeko's wandering around aimlessly and it made me wonder about what things people have hit on their bikes while riding...living things that is, not cars etc.

I have hit a few things over the years......

A puppy on my CBR250RR years back heading up Line Road in Glen Innes, I think this is the closest I have ever come to falling off but didn't. The little bugger must have heard me coming up the road and ran out trying to bite my front wheel by the looks of it. I think and I must have run his head/neck over. I stopped and walked back to see if it was still alive but sadly he wasn't.

I have had a mynah (bird - not someone under 16 or a person who works in a mine) hit me in the chest at about 70-80kph which hurt like hell and took the wind out of me.

I have had not one but 2 smaller birds at the same time fly sideways into my leg and hit around my shin area and killed themselves....possibly Al-Qaeda recruits.

I have hit a blackbird on my front wheel while pulling a 2up wheelstand on my old CBR900RR up Maskell St in St Heliers.

Had a few scary moments while night riding out on open roads with bloody possums and hares running across the road but haven't hit one thankfully and "Beyond" will remember where I nearly hit a bloody great big goat that ran out in front of me a couple of months ago.

The biggest thing I have ever hit though is quite a funny story (wasn't at the time but is now.... I was riding home from a mates at 2 in the morning in the pissing rain. I was heading past a party with loads of cars parked on the side of the road and a double parked taxi van, naturally I slowed down to about 30kph and went to go around the van........ as I got in line with the front of the van a HUGE (I'm talking about 150kg) Samoan woman (the taxi driver) ran straight out in front of me.... I didn't even have time to touch the brakes and before I knew it I was catapulted through the air and could hear the bike hit the deck.

As I layed on the road with 3 fingers sitting at near 90deg bent sideways at the knuckles I look up and could see that the lady wasn't hurt, infact she didn't even fall over!. This mammoth of a woman didn't even loose her balance when a 160kg bike with a rider of about 75kg hit her in the guts at about 30kph. Jez I would hate to see what her husband looked like!. King Kong maybe?

So what have you hit over the years? Got any funny stories?

I'm not surprised it hurt, most kids weigh considerably more than the average avian. You shouldn't speed around schools. How did the kid get that high? Had someone else already hit him/her?
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?

I've run over a large hare, a fat possum, a big black labrador, have hit several birds(the feathered variety) and they do hurt, at speed. I learned a valuable lesson in target fixation in my teens. I was sometimes lucky enough to ride our Katana 750 to work. I always used to ride home for lunch and one day I was on my way back to work when I noticed a large rock in the middle of the road. I foolishly kept looking at it thinking to myself 'Dont hit the rock' until I hit the rock! Managed to keep the Kat upright but that taught me all about target fixation.

    Fishslayer, it's a mynah, not a minor

A Pukeko decided to try to fly out of my way one day out on my old RF900. Ended up clipping it with my front wheel & it then proceeded into my radiator.
    A F#@king mess.

Ran over a oppossum late one night.

I hit a little elf man once down where the lillys grow. I asked him why he was so small and why he didnt grow. He slightly frowned and with his eye he looked me through and through, I'm just as big for me said he as you are big for you.
