    Spain

Well here I am, I have re-located to spain. The bikes are not as cheap as my girlfriend promised

Although there are some interesting ones like the CBR 125, ha! Thats pretty nifty.

Next hurdle appart from getting a job and I have only JUST started looking! Is getting my license.

A NZ drivers license is only valid here for a year and only if your a tourist (Which I am technically not) after this time its basically useless. and you have to go though heaps of crap and spend even more money than CBTA to get both your bike and car licenses.

I have found however a loophole I do believe although it may only work for English residents or citizens... I have dual citizenship .

I am off to England in 3 weeks to exchange it for an English license. I have to send my passport or birth certificate somewhere with my NZ license and a 38 pound check (Not the weight of the check).

Then after a couple of weeks they should send me my shiny new English/EU one as they have now been standardised for the EU.... Hello Spanish license

I hope you have enjoyed my rant, I take no repsonibility for my spelling of grammer... well for anything really.

    ¡Hasta luego!

PS I had to sell my CBR but I can´t bear to take the photo off my profile.

I am in Madrid. Not much floor space here 45 m2 with 3 people here, but I know Madrid quite well so I can hook you all up with cheap accomodation and show you arround.

Jimbo its not that hard. I didn´t know any Spanish when I came here. Just get a spanish girlfriend and you will be fine. ¡NO es tan deficil! I am looking for a job at the moment in IT .... I have only been trying for 3 days and I have an interview this morning

Agree with Jimbo. You are a lucky sod, especially landing a senorita already.

I had a week in Valencia for the World Superbikes and it was THE best time during 8 weeks away.

    Hasta Luego.

Tell us Nhuan, which part of Spain did you like the best? Was it the fact it's a giant aviary?

Best of luck with the licence thong.

The senorita y yo have been togeather for 4 years now. She was in NZ with me last time I was back and found out about this forum and did my license Anyway I will do my best to hook any of your guys/girls up with work/tours.

I belive the first place I worked doing Insurance stuff for English people still likes to hire native english speakers and thats the most important thing to them. So if you don´t mind working in an office and speaking in English I could talk to the boss

    Hasta luego:

    PS
I found out the other day somthing some of you may be interested in, talking to my policeman friend. Its actually legal to have up to 2 plants per person in your house.

    Check out:

and my current favorite because people seem to keep calling me from it:

Pay I would say is generally not great, although cisco experience and certficates are very good for getting you a job here.

If you want big money go to London, especially if you don´t speak any Spanish. I like the weather and the food here, the pay is not a high point for me.

Saying that you could probably get a job only speaking English if you have decent experience/qualifications.
