Hi
I am about to buy one of these bikes. I'm 36 and getting into offroad biking. Trail riding mostly. I would like to know what people think of this bike and what their experiences are, particularly if you own one or have mates that do.
Cheers

Good bike, go well. If you used to ride an old XR then you will love it. if you want more Pep, get teh CRF250X, big difference in teh bikes even though it's only 20cc's.
what did you used to ride?
Best to ask Wellyman but his is so modded that he might not remember. Lots of bottom end but suspension isnt tht of a CRF250X. Drum rear brakes and disc front. Aircooled so its heavy.
Dont get me wrong damn good bike my mate did the oparau enduro on it and completed it beating better bikes but thts the rider. You will find it great for trail riding and mucking round(heavy bike, hard wheelies). But if you want to do competition then thnk about gettng sumthing with more pep.
And there is also no kick starter only electric.
"Im in a glass case of emotion!!!"
"Would you like to come to a party in my pants?"
"Its not a question about how it grips its.... Are you saying that a 4ounce bird can carry a 1 pound coconut!"
"I am a Riding God"
Cheese is right
It depends what you used to ride .....
and how agresive you want to ride now.
The 230 is a great bike and perfect for trail riding
The guy I brought my bike from upgraded to the CRF230 and is very happy with his.
talk to your local dealer as they have family days which you can test ride the range of CRF's to see which one suits you best.

What power up recommendations would you make:
Jetting
remove the baffle
better air filter
????
Any specifics?
Hey just a thought here, you could also consider the new Yamaha TT-R230. I have used both the Honda 230 and the Yamaha 230 and I chose to buy the Yamaha. I'm really impressed with it, awesome bike :-)

Don't bother. Just run it standard. When you can ride the nuts off it, upgrade.Originally Posted by g-dawg
Does jetting the fuel into the carb have any adverse effects?
