Apparently they found a shrine in Japan that proves he was Japanese too and buried in that shrine (and it was his brother that died on the cross not him). - heard this on the radio this morning if its wrong then my bad.

He may have a paddle tyre on the back, they do that on one of my crusty demons movies, very impressive.

You can see the bike bouncing as it's coming straight at the camera,definatly a paddle on the rear - but how does he keep the front up? He hasn't got the front wheel off the ground on entry,and it's on the water...maybe just keeping it slightly levetated.
Donald Shimoda would have no trouble doing that.....
the car and jetski used on top gear were using special tyres - they looked like tractor tyres sortof but with small specially shaped flappy rubber bits for tread
