    Ducati - Brakes

    Damn Brakes.
Genuine Yamaha brake discs $860.00 each.

After market brake discs $350 - $500 each, only problem is they are either 4 or 4.5mm. Original are 5mm. Should be able to compliance on most of these.

F1 engineering in Hamilton will make some for a bit over $400.00 each for 4mm, but would be more (not sure how much) for 5mm, and I loose the bike for 2 weeks. Incidentally indications are you should be able to get compliance on the ones from F1 engineering as he uses acceptable product and processes.

Ducati original equipment (supposedly the same disc) $475.00.

So I am looking for someone, around West Auckland preferably, whom has a Ducati of mid to late 90's vintage so I can measure up the front brake disc prior to ordering.

There are a heap of Ducati's which suposedly match so if anyone has one and wouldn't mind me taking a few measurements please PM let me know what you have.

Try this place. Sugilite posted the url yesterday and they seem to be reasonably priced (in American dollars though). And their service is meant to be rather good.

I'm gonna need some new rotors soon too so let me know how you go.
