Cattle truck adds more bite to the Takas

The wannabe members of the Rimutaka Weekend Biker Hoons Association would like to extend their sincerest thanks to a member of the livestock distribution industry.

The LDI member skillfully piloted their specially equipped B-train over SH2 Rimutaka Hill this morning around 11.30. Although the writer has been unable to verify the exact makeup of the load, it can be assumed that the truck was carrying livestock of some description. This livestock proceeded to fully unload themselves all the way from Featherston southbound to Kaitoke. Intersections on River Rd, Upper Hutt suggest the livestock had an extra helping of wheaties before they left home this morning too.

Motorcyclists who cannot trace heritage to Mr V Rossi are advised to be ready for additional entertainment while traversing the more technical sections of the Rimutaka Hill in the southbound lane. Those who are still trying to get technical on Kaitoke and River Road deserve the ticket, chase and/or crash.

    WELL DONE MR TRUCK DRIVER.

Thanks for letting us know. Just picked up my bike from cycleworks and was going to go for a trip up the hill to listen to my bike *cough* rumble with my new cans , but glad I decided not to now. Cheers.

Probably rode close to if not my quickest up the hill today from Featherston following Uncle B who graciously rode slow enough to allow me to keep up. Dafe reackoned he got his knee down for the first time (we thought he'd banged his slider on the garage door as he left this morning). Not too slippery at all MB.

I think the hill got a second dosing today, there was a nice trail there yesterday going north and south.

Don't expect to see me riding up front with my happy happy joy joy abundance of demerits. I need someone to ride shotgun up front to clear the road of undesirables. In fact my helmet receiver battery died about then and I felt naked without the radar.

Hey Jim2, there is enough shit on our roads now without your rellies sending any more of it down here.
It seems to me the whole country is becoming one great big streak of cow shit!
Bikers pay more ACC and truckies and cow cockies just keep on creating hazards for us. Bloody LTSA wankers.
They drop shit, we drop bikes and "we" get to pay more for the privilege! Beats me, John.

You musta had better lines than me then James. I had a wee slide at the bottom on the way back and then just chickened out and dropped the pace down to sensibly fast.

MD, no need to worry mate, the HP were back toward Caltex.

The trucks are required to have secured effluent tanks. They need a kick up the bum

Me too. I was running late to meet up with rfc85 in Featherston. I passed a cop outside the Speedway, he was giving a cager a ticket. The Kaitokes was done with little hesitation, followed by a complete slaughtering of the hill. My new Conti's are looking second hand as a result. Best part of the ride was the descent into Featherston, Fastest I can remember going down that side before. At the bottom, a cop, handing a ticket to a cager.

    Hallelujah.

Thanks guys for some damm good riding today. The hill wasn't that bad but caution was need as the poos was pretty much everywhere. If it was wet it would be slippery as shit

Fatjim, I was trying as hard as I could but Dafe's bike is weighed down with bling running on biscuit thin tyres........You should have said it was a little red mini I hit when you told him I crashed his bike.

Great day, great riding, love that hill.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy
