Funny you should mention that...I had a bit of a play on the Kaimai's yesterday & enjoyed the descent more than going up. There was cowshit everywhere too but that comes with the cow moving season. Highways or backroads, you cant really avoid it at this time of year.

Good to see you all had a fun day.

Thanks guys for some damm good riding today.

Great day, great riding, love that hill.
Yep, second that, it was a brilliant day to out on two wheels. Those new gixxers do look bloody nice from behind with those stubby mufflers.
Are we lucky or what having roads like that to ride. Really impressed with your riding style Bruce- smooth, flowing lines at a fast pace. Best not mention the pace.
Every time I ride my bike I fall in love with it all over again. Seems it was made to wheelie. I was rapped with that long one today, could have gone all day if it hadn't been for the corner. That was a par 4 and par 5 fairway, I think, all on one wheel. Jimbo's got the new bike sorted for wheelies too.
    Thanks for the company.

Just in time.Sounds like they may have run out by now.... will you use a tanker? Make sure some of our south of the mainland friends get their share too??

Seriously though, I started a thread on this very subject a few weeks ago.
Regarding the stock trucks between Auckland and Whangarei in mid summer and the way they use to stick hoses out the sides of the trucks and all the dried poo that would fly back. I was with a riding mate on the way to Akl on his mint XS650Special, it was about 1979, which he intended to sell and he got wasted by poo and wasn't very happy. Had to clean the bike up big time before sale. Oh well, suppose the current rain will help wash the muck off the road.

Was a nice looking bike mate. Parked it into the scenery at the bottom of the hill. Probably due to aforementioned effluent deposit on the road.

Well the Takas were clean as when we went over yesterday morning. I guess it's just as well we didn't come home that way.

I'm with madboy and oldrider on this one.
Have seen a few instances of illegal effluent dumping in recent weeks. I presume there are local District Council laws on this ??
Next time I see this happening I will be sure to record it on camera. I suggest the rest of us do the same and report it.
