I would be a fair mix of #1 and #2 depending on the day. Some days i ride pretty hard, others just quickly, and every now and again...sedately. nothing like lane splitting at speed...dumb as anything but fun.

I value my licence, no licence no job.

I tend to pick my moments of insanity....

I get my fill on track day........

Although I am a weekend warrior and drive a car during the week.

I normally ride around built up city centres at the speed limit, too many cages and too many foreigners on international licences that can't read or write english so how the hell are they supposed to obey our road signs?

Around suburban areas that I know I never speed as in full throttle sorta stuff but I like poppin wheelstands here and there

I like to think that i ride safely around town, but i cant say that i stick to the speed limit. I split every morning, unless the traffic is doing a decent clip, which isnt very often.
Theres just too many nice chicanes, corners to blast around on my commute. Although i should slow down as the demerits are starting to accumulate.

which area is "on your commute?" which exact roads have nice chicanes etc.. I'll have to go have a look at them..

Off River Rd(headin into ham) onto Cromries Rd(sp). Heads into chartwell. If you catch it with no traffic theres a nice little left, right flick, slightly uphill, then into a left hander. Just a bit of a pain as there is usually a bit of traffic on that intersection.

I ride like a nana in town all the time, 98% of which is within the speed limit, and if I go over the limit then it's genuinely due to 'speed creep'. However I ride at speeds I believe to be safe (yes Mrs Governmunt, I am capable of making balanced and educated decisions myself, so the rules don't apply to me, coz I'm special) when riding in rural areas and on motorways. 18 years without a (road) crash, and no demerit points, so I like to think I've pretty much got the right balance. Unless you count dropping the bike at less than 10 kmph while navigating a 90 degree downhill turn with Mrs Biff and a boat load of luggage on the back in Queestown recently. Which I obviously don't, because that's the kind of guy I am. So- what I'm trying to say is - don't ride slowly - it's dangerous. Why can't I create new paragraphs in my posts today?

Amen to that! I've never binned at 150 hard on the gas exiting a 65 corner...but have done cruising at 90 in top gear.

My commuting isn't insane, more like slightly disturbed.
But who cares, if I want to be sensible I'll drive a cage.

That's not true... I have never exceeded 70km/h on my 2 stroke 50cc scooter!!

Picked 2 'coz I'm always safe, but seeing as I have had my license for 5 months and 29 days, and commute on the motorway daily, almost always illegal.

EIther that, or I'd be legal but unsafe. Great choices innit?
