    Wouldn't suprise me, I've seen a few of those bikes going for similar money and I've seen earlier models go for even more

    Ive got a 91 Lemans 1000 Mk5 like the one on TardMe [& 4 other Guzzis] & I paid $1500 for it!!!!!. ....OK it WAS in several cardboard boxes at the time!!!!
    Anyhoo, a straight, low mileage Mk5 would maybe worth $7500 top dollar
    The early 70,s round barrel V7 Sports, 750-S,s , Ambassador/Eldorado,s & LeMans 1,s seem to be appreciating nicely & tidy ones often go for $10,000 + more especially overseas
