    sad sight

I called in at my local bikeshop the other day to price a new tyre and there I saw a most upsetting thing. It was my old bike (not the last one, but the one before) My poor old XT400 Artesia. Looks like an arse tesia now - completly puckeroo-ed. Every plastic bit breakable was broken, the chain and other steel bits were rusty it was covered in sand and mud and looked like it had been sitting under a tree for the last year. The mecanic hadnt yet managed to get it going, and he had been working on it a while. That bike was in really good nick when I sold it and was a first kick reliable starter and never gave me an ounce of grief when I owned it. And now some guy has completly rooted it. Hope he had fun doing it. Bastard.

    acctually, I have to say,

he has been able to get me very cheap parts in the past. cheap as in 'free'

but we had a service on dads RMX250 that wasn't the worlds greatest. it wasn't bad, just not teh best

    sels...guttin aint it?
thats the exact reason i dread any bike upgrades i might make....whats gonna happen to my baby? my current bike will be going to dad, but any others i buy, i would like to keep, even if i do take them off the road for a while. least then i know where they are.

dont suppose the now wrecked former bike is up for sale? you might be able to buy it for a small price and try and get her fixed up?
