    he he he I see my GS1200ss were advertised new as 'sport tourers' done 400km day trips OK on mine - nice seat & I am developing Popeye forearms. I'd look at any bike with clip-ons or bars level or under the top triple clamp as sports not touring and stay clear.

    Those big 1400's look nice....... re cruisers - good at legal speeds but most have limited rear end travel and often it is too hard or soft.
