    I've got wheels again!!!!!

Yes, after being off the road for a month I have wheels. It has taken a while, but after binning my GSX600F, I have just got an RF900 (including very pretty pink stripe ). Also got all my gear replaced - got it all from Quasimoto, thoroughly recommend them - leather for the price of cordura!

The bike got delivered this morning, so have only commuted into work, but even in that short and slow ride I had the biker smile all over again.

Thanks also to everyone who recommended the RF over another GSXf, though I haven't had time to get to know the bike yet, first impressions are that it is going to be much nicer than the GSXf range.

    See you on the roads

Nice one, the RF's are a good bike, and much better looking than the GSXF range in my opinion.

I know some don't, I like the look of the RF too - reminds me of the Ferrari Testerossa (which also was not universally admired either!), but if it's good enough for Crockett and Tubbs then it's good enough for me

I'm looking at going up to Manfield tomorrow (just for aride, not to go on the track). Think I should save the hill for a week or two until the initial excitement has subsided and I have learnt to control the power a bit more.

And you aint getting pictures until I've done something about that pink stripe!!!

    Especially with a pink stripe...

Welcome to the club. It won't take you long to get used to the RF. Just watch it when you are moving it around slowly in angled driveways - they are bloody heavy if you overbalance them.

Try this though when you get the opportunity. In first gear, about 6000 rpm, slide your bum to the back of the front seat, close the throttle, push down on the bars, then pull the throttle open instantly. Then change up to second ...

oh yeah, you should try this on a straight road with no traffic...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

Is that how you save wear on your front tyre riffer???

Went for a ride up to Manfield and loved it, esp overtaking. I was quite pleased when I saw a truck with about 7 cages stuck behind it, accelaration from 100 to 180 is awesome, and dropping it into 2nd and overtaking just makes me laugh/swear it is soooooo quick.

Didn't push it hard through the twistie bits, need to adjust the suspension, the front is very soft. But once I get that sorted, then I'll look at making use of some of that grunt over the takas.
