    Einstein was right

    Nice crunchy morning in Chch this morning. So went for a wee spin on the GS and noticed that after travelling for a time (as Einstein commented is relative to the beauty of the company one keeps) noticed that the odometer had wound right back to zero - Before and After below are really separated by 3 hours.

    Well actually, some months ago I commented to Sportszone that there was a minor fault in the dash (Trip2 reset itself and there was a flick in the tacho needle as it rose thru about 6k rpm) so they said that Suzuki would probably fix it - and so they have. Apparently it would have cost $900 if it wasn't still under warantee. to Suzuki.

    So how did you KNOW to take a pic three hours earlier? and how do we know the bike was not in the same spot 'resting' for the whole three hours, huh? huh? HUH?

    Cos I went back the three hours after I had gone forward three hours to remind myself to take a picture then and .... oh its just a Suzuki thing, I guess Harleys don't do it.

    Actually Harleys do something very similar.

    Your speedo didn't register any movement within the three hours...Harleys simply don't move for three hours

    So if anyone wants to buy Jimmy's bike remember to add 14000 km to the odo to get true distance. Bugger I only built up 7000 km on my spare speedo unit.

    Semi true oh jealous one...

    sadly HD stuck the engine in sideways and avoided the tar pits, thus they never evolved... Some Guzzi did get stuck in the tar pits the HD's left behind from being stationary so long but the rest evolved...

    Lol my R1 did the same thing when I crashed it, unfortunatly I cracked the tacho and had to buy a second hand one that had 1200k more than my original but im sure the inards of the old one will fit in the nice un broken replacement
