    Is motorcycling in your blood?

What was it that made you want to start riding bikes?

I know for me it is in my blood, my old man rode bikes and my mum use to ride her brothers bikes occassionally.

As a kid growing up everytime I saw a bike riding down the street I would just stop and stare and think to myself...one day, one day when Im old enough I wanna ride a bike.

I started out on a Yamy YZ80 and progressed to 125's 250's and had a play on my uncles CR500. When I was old enough to get a licence it was pretty evident going by my passion for 2 wheeled machines and my walls n ceiling being covered in bike posters that I would go for my bike licence. Moving on from their I got into road bikes which I still am.

So I guess there was some influence from my parents that got me interested in bikes...... what influenced your decision to become a biker?

Like I said its in my bones......

I just wanted to be a hero, own the fastest road bike and brag about what a demon I am.

Ever since I discovered wheels and engines, I've been fascinated with most forms of transport. Don't know why as I'm a bit the odd one out in the family. My Mum likes bikes though and I learned to ride on her BSA Bantam. Dad was never particularly interested but didn't mind my enthusiasm.

    Dunno.
Growing up in Italy where everyone's got a ringa-dinga two-stroke 'motorino' of some sort or another, it was inevitable!

Remember going for rides with my mates from village to village, riding thru' the hills on all the back roads to avoid the 'carabinieri'....

Wanted to start on crossers/trials at first, but never did. Quickly moved on to road bikes as i got a bit older tho'..

Seem to have passed the 'bug' onto 2 out of 3 of my nephews too

Incidentally, most of my italian cousins still ride too! It was a fantastic feeling to go for a blat together a couple of years back...another reason i can't bring myself to sell the RF - too many memories!!!!

definately in the blood, all my sisters have riden at some point, my dad has had a couple (now has an older XJ in Nelson), even his sister now has a bike again, after many years not having one.
My great grandad used to ride in Invergiggle... back in the earlier days of Burt Munroe, they used to blat around together apparently...
So yup its in the blood... any bike i see makes my blood move just the little bit quicker... thinking who/what....kewl!
Just always been that way hopefully always will

Probably. I did have a touch of bike anaemia in the 90's though.
I've also had a fair bit of my blood on my bikes too.
