    Someone please just shoot me!!

After having a bit of a spill I had some plastic welding done on the nose of the RF. Decided to paint both side fairings at the same time to get rid of stone chips. Rang bike shop twice to confirm colour code for paint (candy apple red) then waited for the return of my newly painted bits and pieces. They came back beatifully finished in MAROON !! . Now I have to tell you that having half the bike candy apple and the other half maroon ...... frankly it looks like shit. Rang back bike shop to see what the hell happened only to be told that my colour code was for n.z models only and even with the chassis no. they couldnt give me a code for an import.(why I wasnt told this the first time I rang who bloody knows) As well I have to wonder what sort of shit the painter was smoking at the time he sprayed my plastics. Idiot must be colour blind as well as stoned!! So here I am left with a two tone RF not sure if I should take the RFs arse off and paint it maroon to match or take all the newly painted pieces and try again??? Talk about frustrated

    Cool

Hope you havent paid the bill for the spray job...

It is not done in the colour specified by you...

They could have also rung you to let you know that they could NOT get the red you wanted, so that you could have gone else where...

    Do not pay...

Or at least ask for half the painters stash as compensation.

Really, the colour wont look so bad when you're off your tits.

Where did you get it done motelbob?........theres a great place here in Warkworth in Glenmore drive, they welded and matched the paint perfectly on a bike i had, slight crack below the seat, and he gave me the left over paint, which wasn't alot but still, good to have for the odd touch up i guess

Bummer man. That kind of mindless shit can challenge your faith in humanity. Don't let the b'stards get you down, talk to the boss and demand satisfaction. Might be worth being nice firast though. Good luck.

Even if she's paid for it, you can still get recourse...just a bit of a bitch now, means you've got to get heavy with them if they're pricks about it.

most paint shops have candy apple red - its a standard (metalflake anyhow) PPG colour from recall. Its their fuckup so they should fix it

There maybe numerous different shades of candy apple red,I'm surprised they painted it if thats all the imfo they had.
Normally you would need to give them the actual paint code to get the correct colour and shade unless they were matching against the original colour. There are lots of painters who cant colour match without the code.
