    Blackbird in glass

How about this 3D beauty in a block of glass? They're laser etched in perfect detail and referring to the photo, the guy who bought this piece got a stand with a blue LED in it to light the etching up.

It's a Dutch guy who makes them.

Will try and find out whether he does them for any other make of bike.

There is a company that does that in Australia. In Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast - I have a brochure here somewhere...
Will post more info if I can find it. They do all sorts of stuff, including 3d scanning your head and etching it into the crystal block.
    An amazing shop!!!

I've seen a shop here that does that sort of thing with family photos etc, so anything is possible.

Cool! Thanks for that. I see that they have a photo of an Aprilia RSV on one of the pages so it looks like they might do one-offs.

Thanks heaps Marty and Swoop - have had some dialogue with their Marketing Manager and am currently getting some price indications. He's given me a link to a huge range of stock bike models which they can supply (even Scumdog might be pleased ). As soon as I have all the details, I'll make a completely new post with prices and links.

The process involves laser etching, or "firing" a laser beam into the crystal.
It takes only a few minutes to do, and people can watch the process taking place.
If you want a scan, and then etch it into the crystal, this process will take aproximately 10 minutes to complete.

The shop in Pacific Fair is DAMN impressive! All sorts of images. Even a jet fighter firing a missile!

These would make really good presents for your partners & friends.
