What do you see yourself riding at age 60..?

Talking to some colleagues the other day and the comment about my age (46) and riding came up (what too old..Jeez narrow minded bastards). I dont see any problem with it but it was pointed out that at 60 I couldnt fly Internationally anymore..? Hmm Ok so what do others think..

If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

I'd love to think that in 30yrs time I'd still be riding something that puts a massive grin on my face and gives me a buzz like my current steed does. However what spins my wheels now probably won't at that age (although there is always hope!) so might find myself on something more relaxed. I don't think I'd go to an all-out tourer, something more sports-tourer-ish.

30yrs is just too far away (closer than I think) to know where both motorcycles and myself are in terms of development.

Age 66, Bandit 1200. Age is no reason to change riding style or bike. You are only as old as you feel

Really?? Then there must be an awful lot of decidedly old looking 45 year olds on the flights I take......

Riding...probably a sports tourer. Might consider a cruiser when I hit that 75th birthday...

You didn't include "Something more powerful and hairier".

Only a couple of years away, but by then I think I'll have grown a bit tired of the Beamer. Wonderful bike for effortlessly gobbling miles, but I've always liked to try something completely different each time I change.

I figure the older you get the less you have to lose. So maybe my next big bike will be at least a semi- sprotsbike of some sort. If (if!) I could talk Mrs Ixion round I'd like to run something like a Bandit or VTR1000 in parallel with a BMW - BMW for long distances , t'other for hooning.

Don't really understand the "more sedate" thing. Why more sedate just cos of a few more years?

Unfortunately the reflexes are a Tad slower, so what you don't have to lose, you lose that much quicker if you arent continually on to it......experience can only carry you so far.....which is why I downsized to a "mere" 900 sportsbike...........:whistle"
