An Overseas magazine had an article on lightening strikes (back in the 80s) and they had a few reports of it happeningOriginally Posted by Wasp
one in particular is still pretty vivid in the memory;
A couple of guys (2 up) were on tour somewhere and the rider got struck by lightening on the shoulder & knocked him out cold, the bloke riding pillion had to reach over the KO'd rider and bring the bike to a stop. The rider received burns to his shoulder & left foot where the lightening bolt exited his body.
heh melted ya handgrips yet skel? or not making it that hot?
1990 Suzuki Bandit GSF 250 for sale 39k kms $3,500
Tried having 10W resistors in the handlebars themselves (quite legit method) and bars got to 200deg (inside). Grips were 'warm'.
Nichrome wire running at about 6watts each side. Itll be fine reckon. More worried about insulation tape.

All those colours to choose as well.
Cricket bat covers. Nice. Using mtb innertube rubber currently, may slip a bit...nice and thin though.
