    Ferrari motorcycle

Picture says it all really, a Ferrari 308 motor with a couple of wheels bolted fore and aft, a seat and some handle bars. Why? if you have to ask...

What a monstrosity. Though I'd like to see someone try and ride it...

Ha weird beast indeed , but if you've ever had the chance to own a Laverda you've had the real deal of owning a 2wheeled Ferrari

eh feck, i prefer the 'lets develop an engine for this bike' rather than 'hey look at this engine, lets put a bike around it'

Did anyone see the 4L BMW V8 custom in TwoWheels?

    Much better done than this.

Althought it was mounted long so when the journo missed second the torque almost tipped the bike over when the revs shot up.

the 308 is a good solid motor. wonder if it would hold up in a crash.

from some tepid pommie sports rag or other...

The only Ferrari motorcycle ever built - the Ferrari 900cc four-cylinder dohc motorcycle, built by Kay Engineering with full written sanction from the Ferrari company, as a tribute to Enzo Ferrari. Five years in the making, this unique one-off engineering masterpiece is totally unused. Engine casings are all cast magnesium, with cam-covers featuring the unmistakable prancing horse symbol cast into the end caps. The bodywork is made entirely of hand-beaten aluminium finished in Ferrari racing red. This machine will be displayed on the Phil Cotton’s Motorcycles stand - and offered for sale at a non-negotiable price of £250,000.

Kay engineering built limited runs of replica Gilera 4 cylinder race bikes for HUGE amounts of dosh as well as restoring originals. Honda have contracted them to build a replica of one of the racing 6 cylinder racers of the 60's which they will do, once they have firm orders for a few other copies... egad - place yours today!

having said that. Impressive bits of kit!!!!

Funny you should mention Ferrari and motorbikes. In the mid 1990’s MV Agusta re-entered the motorcycle market under guidance of Cagiva. Designer for Cagiva, Tamburini (once part owner of Bimota) designed a beautiful new MV Agusta on a 749cc engine (which had been designed with the help of Ferrari). The new F4 750 was a stunner and handling, styling and great speed made it very desirable.

    You heard it here first.
