Dutch Company unveils Vegetable powered Motorcycle

    http://www.dieselmotorcycle.co.uk/

Their website says that their diesel motorcyle will run on vegetable oil and that they will be taking orders for the Track Dieselpowered Motorcycle in October 2006. It doesn't look like they have a complete bike yet, the pictures of it are all computer generated. They have a short video clip of an incomplete bike being started up.

    Features:

    Diesel standard / Bio-Diesel consumption / PPO (pure plant oil )1L : 40km+ / 2.5-L : 100km
Semi and automatic shifting with a 6 speed gearbox / CVT.
    Turbo Intercooled.
130Nm 50HP range for maximum performance at 1800-2800rpm.
    Rearwheel shaft drive.
    DEEP low inpack exhaust system.
Personal Digital Assisted (PDA/MDA) Electronic motorcycle management.
    Integraded expanding crashbar for bikeprotection.
Ergonomics on seat hight , footrest and handlebar position. 70 to 120mm
    Travel-package intergraded in the design.
Progressive brakelight and headlight. Power LED.
    (stolen from digg.com)
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking. Racing around to come up behind you again.

It'll have to be a Kwaka, they're vege coloured.
Or it could be a YAMaha.
    Perhaps a Honda Fireblight.

    That's nice.
    BUT
Last time I bought vegetable oil it was about $5 a litre.

If its peak power is below 3000 revs, it sounds like a tractor and puts out 50hp its obvious harley are going to make it (or already make them on mass)

If that's the future of motorsport, God help us.
    You can't hear it!
It'd be like watching slot cars.
