No, that's a fair comparison. Both mass produced, both cheap, both with 'good enough' build quality, both top leaders in the bulk of their markets.

Oh I see. This is about 1 litre Japanese bikes, apart from the ones not deemed worthy through not oozing sufficient squid juice. Clearly I misunderstood the intent of the poll. Or my penis is huge.

LMAO. Like most mags, the main talking point (or reading point) is the inline 4 thou's, ie the R1, CBR, ZX10 and the GSXR. Maybe the OP should've been more clear about that....

I've noted that too, even though they are all well outsold by other types and models of bikes. It makes one wonder who is out of step with reality...

I'd wager that that's an economic thing, not a which bike is better thing.

What do you mean by "better"?

THATS STILL NOT A FAIR FIGHT , THE DUCATI HAS FULL FACTORY SUPPORT AND THE SUZUKI DOESNT , AND UNDER THE RULES THE DUCATI TUNING FREEDOM BEING A TWIN IS FAR GREATER THAN THE SUZUKI , THE GOVERNING BODY SHOULD LET EVERY FUCKER DO WHAT THEY WANT TO THEIR BIKES BUT THEY FAVOUR DUCATI .

Like car buyers picking up a rag with a pic on the cover of a test of, say the latest crop (yet to be released) of Japanese supercars, the majority are happy enough to read about them knowing they will probably not even drive one let alone own one in the near future. 'Jazz' sells man.

    ZX10.......plain fucken ugly.
1st: Gixxer coz Uncle B has one & thinks he can ride it.
2nd: R1 coz Darkman knows it's his destiny.
3rd: Fireblade coz my other bike is a honda so can't come last.
4th: Kwaka coz it has all the power yet the rider can't utilise it due to poor bike setup.

I would doubt "TOAST" would be the appropriate word to be honest, Ive ridden a 999 and a GSXR1000 and the 999 handles better for a start, If the track was long and straight ie Pukekohe......well maybe, if its a Taupo track I think the handling of the Ducati would dominate.

PS, I shouldnt be such a shit stirrer, I do own a GSXR lol, im fishing .....apologies....kinda

But what about the price of the Duc?????

At least the jap bikes all cost about the same (roughly half price).

If you use the extra 20 grand to invest in ohlins suspension and brembo brakes and power commander etc. After the same amount of money is spent, which one would be the best? coz that Gixxer has just become the Grim Reapers ride of choice!
