    curly, larry, mo and me!

Had a bit of a classic this morning in the finest 3 stooges tradition.

Going through newmarket past that new shopping centre/mall they are building. No traffic about thanks to school holidays. I'm in the inside lane as I pass the new building site, when all of a sudden a wooden plank protrudes out into the road in front of me at head height, i duck as it and I are about to make contact and drive on in disbelief. The chippie who is balancing 6m of timber on his shoulder seeing all this and starts turning around madly as he realises what he almost did and in the process nearly kneecaps a bunch of folks waiting for the bus.

I was actually driving pretty slowly at the time and we both had time to react otherwise it might have been messy. I laughed my way to work - more out of a sense of shock and relief then over any humourous aspect, but thinking back now it must have looked funny as heck to anyone else.

think I'll take the outside lane from now on!

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to witness that lil display. Good thing you didn't connect with it.

yeah I've heard of bikes hitting trees, not the other way round.

I don't about the chip on his shoulder, but he certainly was an axehole!

Should have given it a flick... he may have taken off like a helicopter or ended up sitting on his arse with the plank wrapped around him deservedly.
