That's the problem with young people today, they can walk and text at the same time but they can't fix a flat tyre! Whatever happened to kiwi ingenuity?

flat tyre no problem, had a spare one of those on standby, its a tad harder to pull a trailer wheel bearing kit out of you arse, let alone repair one that has eaten itself to bits, with only your barehands and minimal tools.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

What Gareth said. BIG HUGE THAKS to F/F, Trumpy, Goblin and others who assisted with everything.

I owe you lot. Anytime, anywhere for just about anything. If you need me, I'll be there. I mean it!

BTW, the wheel would have come off at the very next corner, so we were very very lucky to have discovered the problem on time. Good on ya Tex for your keen observation. The bits and pieces grinding were saving the axel from being grounded off. When we stopped, there was only about 1mm worth of metal bits before the bare wheel was grinding the the axel it self! So we were VERY lucky!
