    Getting Those Little Jobs Done

I'm feeling a bit chuffed with myself today. I've booked in two long standing minor faults on my bike for repair in the next week.

I'll be taking my seat to Cajun's dad-in-law for recovering after it had a couple of tears put in the pillion seat early last year, and which have been hidden under the awesome camouflage of a piece of red duct tape ever since.

And the fairings are booked in to a plastic welders for next week, since I'm on night shift, to have the support mount fixed for the left indicator (one of those internal, sticky-outy, sort of star-shaped things that the indicator stalk screws into) which has only been broken for 4 years or so and a mount where the side fairing bolts to the bikini fairing reattached, since I found it was completely broken off the last time I took the fairing off to clean the bike properly.

And that's only the bike related problems I've got sorted this week. The good thing about doing a 3-11pm shift is that you get a sleep in, and then you've got a few hours to do all those little jobs you've been putting off for months.

Picked up the seat this afternoon and what a top job.

Next day service and just over $80 dollars, which isn't too bad for a rider/pillion seat combined in one unit, and it looks just like new (I didn't need to get one of those really flash, Corbin-like custom jobs that they do because the Honda seats are comfortable as the come).

Now I just have to get the plastic off the bike over the weekend to drop off at the plastic welders on Monday afternoon.
