well nope--but I dunno if this counts--Many years ago my lady was driving my car -I was followeing her on my lil MB50 -she was playing silly buggers and slammed on the brakes after pulling in front of me.
I flew onto the roof and slid down the bonnet of my own car.Bugger I even had to repaint it myself

A few years ago in the late 80's I was "coasting" up to the lights
on Wairau road one day on the way to work.
A bike was sitting waiting at the lights in front of me....and i'm
chatting away to the passenger in my car not watching whats
    ahead of me

Then next thing "bump" I nudged the motorcyclist from behind
pushing him forward but he was able to maintain balance still.....
    thank god

The scary part, was when he slowly turned his head around to look
at the moron who just hit him.

Many years ago, I knocked a school kid off his push bike. He was o.k. - a few scrapes and probably some nasty bruising later. I felt like a sh*t. He was riding on the very inside of the lane (on the yellow lines) and I was trying to drive with him on my left and another car in the lane to my right.

My wing mirror just clipped his handlebars.... Very much so, MY BAAAAAD!!
    Not even with yours!!!

I was a passenger in a car which collided with a motorcyle early one morning (12.30am) The rider and pillon were both known to me and lived in the same street across the road, the pillon ended up having to have his lower leg amputated a month or so later.

I had a bike run up the back of my car at the only traffic lights in Belmont on the north shore.I knew it was going to happen and told my wife as much as we approched the lights.Lights go orange, I stop, idiot on bike runs up ass of car.Just confirmed long held belief that bikers are no smarter than anyone else no matter how much BS they sprout about being onto it.

I think that’s true too to some extent. Suppose if the statistics showed us that 2/10 people are stupid when it comes to driving/riding skills. If there were 1,000,000 car drivers and only 100,000 bikers, of course proportionately there are going to be more idiots on cars than idiots on bikes out there. eg 200,000 stupid cage drives when compaired with only 20,000 stupid bikers in this example.

There's always the fact that there are so many cage drivers who aren't interested in driving but are only interested in getting from point A to B. Bikers however are usually more interested in the ride as well as getting from point A to B.

Well I make that comment kind of TIC after seeing so many riders including myself do some pretty silly things. of course no matter what we do we are still way out numbered by them in cars, ect, ect,

For the first time today I nearly did that. Down Webb St. Some dip shit on a brown 250 with L Plates was behind me. I was indicating to turn in to Hopper St. We stopped short of Hopper St due to the Taranaki Street traffic lights. As we started moving - I went to swing in to Hopper - at the same time the dip shit on the brown 250 had decided it was a good time to lane split on the other side of the road. Missed his rear wheel by mm.

If you are on this board - yes I mean dip shit - try looking at the blinky things on the corners of cars - some of us use them. You are lucky you weren't a hood ornament.

The pillion has almost ploughed me a couple of times. The scary bit is she did not even know she had or that I had taken evasive action. Cagers just don't understand. Yet another reason to get her out on a bike on her own.
Reason 12 to give her some perspective.
Reason 6 to give her some traffic awareness.

    Ok fess up time.
I almost took out a biker about 1978 or so.
I'm driving down a road on the shore when I spot a Kawazaki 750 triple in the rear mirror. This is the two stroke 27miles to the gallon bike,a bike that could take my own GT 750 Suzuki to bits in any straight line drag.I'm watching this thing pretty close because it is painted white with a silver frame an chambers on it,so it wasn't a run of the mill one and well worth a second look.Anyway we get to my old folks road and I indercate an turn down it.I see the guy on the bike is still following me but I'm now also watching for the folks drive way.As I come up to it I hit the indercator and glance in the mirror,he's gone, think nothing of it and start to turn right into the drive.Just after I cross the center line I hear a strange noise and hit the brakes on instinct alone. As I stop the guy on the Kawa' runs past hits the curb and stalls it.
The strange noise were his brakes locking up.So he starts giving me heaps of shit about being a blind fuck Ect,ect, ect. I had nothing to say because I'm pretty shocked and also feeling like a right dick.
To this day I reckon we both played a part in that little incident but I also still feel like a bit of a dick because I knew he was there only 2-3 seconds before I turned.Even if he still talks about the wanker in the Hillman hunter that almost ran him down I hope he also realised his own part in it like I did.
He had a bloody nice bike.
