Just got back from a fantastic ride to Raglan and back. Set off from Tokoroa about 1030 and it was still pretty cold and the trip west had a few hidden perils like frost on the road where it was shaded by trees - no close calls though. Got to Raglan about 1300 and there were only a couple of bikes there in gorgeous warm conditions. After a leisurely lunch on the waterfront, it was time to head back. Nearly got caught out on one corner. With no risk of frost, I started to open it up and really spun the rear tyre up exiting one corner. I don't think some corners ever dry out in this weather and build up a coating of slime.
Saw lots of bikes heading for Raglan as I headed for Te Awamutu - was there anyone from KB heading in?
