do you want helen fuckin dyke clark to make a law about riding gear to make you feel better?

its personal choice....I ride offroad on and over the limit daily no gear at all..[well unless ya count the redbands]..I fall often...it hurts...I don't whinge...my choice...meet plenty of people that reckon I'm nuts...but thats it they reckon....so its an opinion....and frankly I don't care and obviously nor does this joker!!!

For mine it is completely irresponsible of that mag to produce images like that, and I'll be dropping them an emial/letter to say so. It's fair that the senior and more experienced riders on here will have their own perspectives, and they will take such risks as they see fit. But for the youngsters or even Born Again Bikers that get those mags with a view to getting into the riding scene, it's totally misleading to suggest that that attire is suitable for road riding.

And I've been unlucky enough to see the result of a sports shoe lace getting caught in the chain... I hope none of you get to see it or experience it.

    My 2 cents worth.

His choice what he wears and the law only states that you need a helmet to be legal and he is. Have meet Shane and seems a good bloke and good photographer.
There are enough rules now, So will you people stop trying to wrap everyone up in cottonwool. Old saying "Let he who rides decide"

When I get back to NZ, I will mail him one of my pairs of spare boots.

Maybe he will get the message then.

This is the interweb, we can tar and feather and publish it to the whole world without any possible justification just because we feel like it.

That being said he does look like a twat and should know better.
