Dang..Not good. Best wishes for a fast recovery. Anything I can do PM me. Not in Hamilton but may be able to help make her more comfortable during the healing process.

I got the news from a mutual friend and then a more in-depth list of the injuries from another friend who drove EddieB's mum up to the hospital.

Not good. Her husband's probably beside himself at the mo' as well.

The Wolf pack is thinking of her at the moment. I was going to go up and see her in hospital before I heard the full extent of her injuries - she's been in surgery most of the afternoon and they're thinking she won't be out until 6pm.

Will definitely be holding off visiting her for a few days until she's well enough to have visitors.

From what I've been told: She had reduced speed as the intersection is bloody dangerous and it was her reduced speed and her gear that saved her life.

The intersection is a known hazard - we always slow down there.

All the best EddieB, to you and your family.

Thanks Geoff, my (our) home town. I remember the days growing up on Paraonui Road, walking to Tokoroa North every morning, way back when the world was a much simpler place & time.

My first interest in bikes was triggered one day on the corner of Paraonui & ? (Last turn on the right before you get out of town), some guy with a pillion came round the corner while we were playing on our Rally 20's. He hoisted the front wheel and was off down the street. I was all of 10 and thought that was just the coolest. It must have been about '82.
