    I Want To Ride This

2003 Marine Turbine Technologies Y2K Turbine Superbike photo

    I WANT THIS BIKE!!!! NOW!!!!

The Y2K is the world's first turbine powered street legal motorcycle of its type. Powered by a Rolls Royce Allison gas turbine engine running on diesel fuel, the Y2K has demonstrated over 300 horsepower and 425 ft/lbs of torque on the Dyno Jet 200.

Weighing in at just over 460 lbs the Y2K rides like a sport bike with the acceleration of a top fuel dragster. This motorcycle is at home in city traffic or cruising the super highways of Europe.

The Y2K Turbine Superbike was designed and built for the ultimate connoisseur, the individual who knows what he wants and goes for it. If nothing but the best is what you desire, you just might qualify as a "Pilot" for the ultimate motorcycle.

Innovation and superior craftsmanship are apparent everywhere you look. From the carbon fiber wheels to the rear view mirror (which consist of a camera and TV monitor located in the custom dash panel), the Y2K Superbike sets a benchmark that others can only envy. So far ahead of the rest, the horizon is just a throttle away!!!

    Only $185k US

    COOOR FARCK!

thats what that dodge tomahawk should've been

it looks like a pretty laid out riding position though... even if you were on the autobahn, at 250mph (i say again COOOOOR FARCK!) you would need a HELL of a lot of clear distance to be confident you could stop in time when you're that low to the ground and can't see sod all

If you want to hear its sound - go to http://www.marineturbine.com/superbike and click on the turbine in the top left.......nothing quite as intimidating as a bike that sounds like an F14 coming down the street revving at 52,000 rpm!

Did you see this one on Motorcycle Online:

*PRESS RELEASE* Drag racer Kent Stotz sets another record: 505 horsepower!

Daytona Beach, FL - The SuperFlow AMI Brute Horsepower Shootout record was smashed yesterday when Kent Stotz's Honda Rider's Club of America and Turbo Charged by Velocity Racing-backed CBR1100XX became the first motorcycle ever to break the 500 horsepower mark. Turning 12,500 rpm on a SuperFlow SF-250 Pro EC motorcycle dynamometer, the Stotz Street Xtreme Honda recorded an all-time-high run of 505 uncorrected rear-wheel horsepower.

Due to the atmospheric conditions during the test, the corrected power number translated to 497.2 horsepower. Previous AMI Shootout record-setting runs have been achieved with the help of turbo-charged engines running nitrous oxide, but Stotz's CBR hit the 505 hp mark using only a Velocity Racing Turbo System with a Garrett Turbo.

Amazingly, Stotz's CBR is a street legal machine. To be eligible for the Streetbike Shootout class in the AMA Prostar drag race series, the AMA requires that all bikes must meet street legal specifications. Stotz is the reigning AMA Prostar Streetbike Shootout champion. Engine modifications to Stotz's 2003 CBR1100XX include Falicon Connecting Rods, J. E. Pistons, Star Pro Port Heads. The championship-winning Stotz Street Xtreme Honda, which will be ridden by Barry Henson in the 2003 AMA Prostar series, also utilizes many stock Honda components including crank, valves, head gasket and studs.

To view a chart of Stotz's record-breaking dyno run, visit http://www.superflow.com.

The Blackbird is a stretched out job but still street legal, amazing huh.

    Check it out here http://www.turbosystem.com/cycle/honda/honda.htm

... the Blackbird's 1/4 mile eta was in the 7 second bracket, but yeah it would turn like a Harley cruiser being that long.

Did you also read one of the feedback posts on the Blackbird - the guy who said he had ridden a road bike with 270 HP and he was still trying to get the stains out of his trousers! Apparently keeping the front wheel down and the rear wheel not spinning at 160mph was more than his  system could take! - sounds like fun!

Now that SV is crazy - one that long, and if I was to sit in a car seat I may as well drive the car.

My thoughts exactly.......now that is a crotch rocket!

Given it is turbine driven there would be no wheelies tho!!  I wonder if you could fit fins??

Imagine those boyracers you meet at the lights - when you bike sounds like a jet??
