Dirt Action Services, Saxon Street have a rear here in ChCh now, fronts still coming.
17" or 18"(can't remember) rear (pic attached) sitting next to TKC80 rear mounted.... Mitas 644 Army rear cost about $188.
Mitas Army 21" Front expected to be about $139 so if the front works as well as the TKC front then may be worth a go at that price.
Front pattern is said to be very much the same as the rear one in picture attached.

Looks to be quite Kenda 760'ish.

Pattern is closer/lot more blocks than the old Trackmaster.
Will be interesting to see how deep the blocks are on the front one.

The real interest lies in the performance of the fronts compared to TKC's... when they arrive.
Until now they have only had the E09 or E10 options in the same arena.

    Best Bridgestone tyre for $300

At the recent Cambridge to Hamilton Child Cancer Toy run her indoors won a voucher from a local bike shop for the supply and fitting of a Bridgestone tyre to the value of $300.

Bearing in mind Bridgestone make the famous 'Deathwings' but not all trail wings are the same, whats the best Bridgstone tyre to get to go on a DR650?

Tyres aren't actually needed right now but there's a time limit on redemption of the voucher so we need to choose something and get it done by the end of next month.

buy a 300 dollar tire and sell it for 250 "lol"

hard to think of a Bridgestone dualsport that will get close to 300, there are a couple of expensive ones but nothing i would use as they are soooo NOT aggressive

Hi pete, what Front tyre are you running with the shinko on the back?

I've been using either a Shinko 704, or a pirelli MT21. I'm just interested in other options.

Dunlop 605 on the front... not 100% sold on them... Get a bit of wash out every
now and then... I may just be exspecting to much from it..

think I will give a 700 front a try next tyre change..

I tend to stay away from full blown knobblys on the XT.
most of the places I ride it are dry/hard surface..so I look
for a softish tyre with good surface area / contact patch size..

90% of all Harleys built are still on the road... The other 10% made it back home...
Ducati... Makeing riders into mechaincs since 1964...

Poppin wheelies and doing burnouts down the main street to impress the ladies has a toll on the annual tyre bill Keith

This is an ingenous way of seating the bead of a tubeless trials tyre in the bush.
