Am running a Front on 950
The Big Block is a more aggressive and softer tire than the TKC80, it has good cornering grip on the road in the dry but moves around a bit under load (front is easily lockable under brakes) Excellent grip on loose stuff (even sand) and will probable last about same as Chris's rear in my application

Not sure if will use again as to viby and unstable for a big bike, (would consider on 650 or 750 though as low cost with ample grip, and considering my DR runs Kenda Trackmasters)

What are half worn MT21s like? Worth while putting a 2nd hand rear on? - I have to pay someone to mount my tyres so if they're crap & won't last I won't bother. I've foound half worn E07s are better than new i reckon

I didn't rate the rear MT21, especially on gravel. 1/2 worn would be worser. YRMV.
IT'S JUST BETTER WHEN THERE'S TWINS INVOLVED..

Got another half worn MT21 rear in the Emporium if anyone wants one.
Only catch is, the first ride must be a NADS ride, with plenty of video evidence.
Not saying they're bad at all, just exciting....

I have an MT21 on the rear of the DR. It has around 4500 km on it and I figured I should get about another 1000. but this week was the second puncture in 2 weeks and it looks like a perished tube rather than a tyre fault. So a new set of MT21s have just been ordered.

Overall I have been pleased with the tyre. It gives good grip in a wide range of conditions, and the knobs show no sign of any abnormal damage other than wear. The DR is used for light adventure riding and general commuting to work.

I should add that I fitted a Kenda to the front abot 1000 km ago, and I have never had a worse tyre in my life. It was so far out of balance that it took 3 x 25g wheel weights to get the balance anywhere near correct, and just feels horrible to ride on. If anyone wants a near new Kenda (3.00 x 21) they can have it.

    Touratech no doubt

I've got a better idea. you come round with your tyre levers & you have a go at mounting them on Schmidt. I can't without nicking the tubes & I've witnessed Lee & Clive wailing on the tyre with rubber mallets trying to get it to seat.

I remember using MT21s on the KLR but they wore out so quick I never went back. I can't go past the 606 on the front & E07 on the back.
