    Tyres and Sawyers

Last week I told you how I got a flat tyre on the Red Zed and the good samaritan that came to my rescue. I got the name of the tyre firm wrong; it was Action Tyres [Toop St, Seaview]. I will be calling the boss on Monday to praise his staff.

Their yellow pages add shows that they do all the usual tyre stuff; so if you live in the area, give 'em a go for your cage's tyre needs.

Sawyers came and picked up my bike on Thursday evening - around 7.00 pm - and I collected the bike this morning. They were confident in making a permanent repair and charged me a measly $39 for the whole job.

I have got to say that Sawyers really have provided very good service and give honest and professional advice, as well as fair prices. They could easily have said to ditch the trye - I would not have been able to argue the point - but they didn't and will get the business when a new trye is needed.

It is always tempting to go for the cheapest available job or item etc and no one wants to pay more than they have to. However, if we don't support the dealers then they won't survive for the times we really do need them. Obviously, there is a balance between paying a reasonable price that works for both sides and paying over the odds. Anyway, I can recommend Sawyers highly.

Someones [I wonder who?? - very short odds here!!] Aprilia Edwards is in Sawyers window and available for sale; and a black ZX 10R is due soon for the same person! There is also a real nice 04 rusty-red Yam R1 on the floor as well.

    Take care.

Yep can't complain about Sawyers and as for tyres the bureaucrats don't like the temporary string type repairs and you have to replace it with the proper plug from the inside. I would say $39 isn't a bad price for that.
    Cheers
