Thumbs down Another one down - Little Sister

Little Sister got taken out this morning while riding to work, just out of town west of Hamilton. A car pulled out of a side road (I think marshmeadow rd?) right in front of her and she hit the side of it. This was on an open road but it's believed she wasn't doing anywhere near the speed limit.

Another update: I've done it here so 3 pages don't have to be scrolled through.

Liz made fantastic progress yesterday and is now talking and off most medication and support systems except for pain relief and a small amount of oxygen.

She is still in ICU however and visiting is restricted to family only unless Liz gives express permission.

Even though I don't know you or your sister EddieB, I'm sorry to hear that, and hope she comes through it okay.

What happens to the driver in this case?

I've had the same injuries plus a bit more.
I feel for her big time.
It takes time to heal, and once she's reasonable a positive mind helps immensley.
    Pass on my best wishes.

Yep, there's a few things on the list there.

She was wearing full cordura gear with armour, full face lid, boots etc. There is also a small amount of gravel rash, so I presume something rode up when she hit the road. Ride was a Bandit 600s, no idea what type of car it was.
