cheers DD
(Definately Dodgy)
vBulletin in general has a heap of other interests/topics/hobbies
other than this motorcycling site anyway.
I didn't realise, until I did a search the other day after getting sick of
people trying to control what and what not to say and what and what not topics to discuss when there is clearly a "rave on" provision.
I will end up in one of those other sites for different discussions now
and discuss bikes on this one.
As has been stated before we as people are complex individuals with a myrid of interests and convictions that can not be seperated out into little compartments. ( we all like to pidgeon hole people into our clasifications that we have made for them ). For many, religion and or politics form a fundamental base of who we are, bikes being our escape from the daily grind of life.![]()
For me, to seperate who I am intrinsically into compartments is next to impossible but I do stick to my rules regarding the posting of my beliefs and convictions, but I can not but be true to myself, so God and what He has done in my life will come out hopefully in a non offensive way but the to some this is highly offensive. It is not my intention to be offensive but real so apoligies in advance to who some have called a zealot but such is life :cool2:
Rock on you guys this is a great site with many fantastic people

As long as the spiritually troubled amongst us can vent in a suitably-labelled controlled environment, then that's OK with me. It's always entertaining to have a look and see where they're up to... At last look they were throwing references at each other! Very grown-up...

Question: If people are so anti religeous / political ravings why are there so many post's let alone hits?
If you no wanna read on after someone spoils a thread do what I do UNSUBSCRIBE from that thread.
I think it would be more constructive to say if you want to go off on a tangent about a political or religeous but off topic point that they should start a new thread and post a link for those who wish to follow. so that those who don't can continue wthout them.
Well said!Originally Posted by Big Dog

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
I don't subscribe to any threads?
Speaking of politics and religion, why is it that when I look at Helen the word "drag" comes to mind?.... And I ain't thinking about the Meremere type either.

C'mon Andrew, that comment wasn't worthy of you. Robust political debate is a good and necessary thing, but it should be about policies and methods and not personal appearance, surely?Originally Posted by Andrew

Yeah, Andrew. You can apply physical law to politics, too. Like "what goes up must come down" and "V=IR" (votes = imbeciles ratified)
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
Big Tits and a Nice Face is not what you need to run a country (although a good thick skin helps a lot). Piggy Muldon and Bolger weren't that good looking (and Piggy has been in drag).Originally Posted by Andrew

It's just like Telly: If you don't like what's on, change channel.
Limiting topics of discussion would be a disservice to the diverse range of Human Beings populating this site, and as several people have mentioned, "Rave On" seems to be doing the job it was started for.
Censorship = bad. People making a spectacle of themselves in print = educational entertainment.
If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
I would not recommend censorship of the thread as this would lead these "ravings" to continue else where. I do suggust not posting in it as the posting in the Reg. Rav's. just encourages more insults and raving. I am no longer posting it that thread for that reason.Originally Posted by Jim2

Maybe Andrew meant 'Helens a drag' not 'Helens in drag'Originally Posted by RiderInBlack
Was Piggy a drag as well? It was slightly before my time. But I do remember
in the (late 70's I think) & early 80's McPhail & Gadsby doing a comedy take off of Muldoon. David McPhail had him down to a T. even that hard case laugh.
