    ''Bugatti kicks superbike''

    Reading Automotive today:''The Bugatti veyron has wiped the floor with the opposition in a contest to find the car that takes the least amount of time to go from a standing start to 160km/h and back again. The veyron even managed to beat a GSXR 1000 superbike in the raceoff.Featuring 25 of the worlds fastest cars from the 14th placed aston marton v8 vintage to the 2nd placed ariel atom,the shootout pitches the cars against each other in a straight fight to see which is the fastest to 160kph or 100mph.the veyron with its 740kw(1000bhp)16 cyclinder wasnt necessarily the fav to win.not only was the bugatti faster than the suzuki,it creates more g force at maximum accelaration than you'd experiance from an F16 jet fighter,at take off or when skydiving.WTF??????? IM GETTIN ME A PARACHUTE

    What was the time for the Bugatti? And the Gix?

    A mag I had a while back had a Gix against a 1000hp Skyline, Pagani Zonda, etc...and the bike was miles ahead in acceleration, but not as good slowing down. Still beat them overall by a comfortable margin.

    That Bugatti is a monster though, I'd not be surprised if it beat the Gix.

    I just read the article about an hour ago -

    GSXR1000 = $19,995
    Bugatti veyron = $2,600,000

    I think that sorta settles it.

    Price aside, still quite an interesting comparison:

    Figures are time to 30mph, 60mph, 100mph, reaction time, braking time

    Suzuki GSX-R1000 : 1.61 3.30 5.60 0.10 5.10 = 10.70 s

    Bugatti Veyron : 1.40 2.80 5.50 0.20 3.40 = 9.9 s

    Interesting that the Gix gets from 60mph to 100mph quicker...pity it can't use the power before that...damn physics.

    I reckon that the Gix would be the quickest in this test oldguy...

    the 14 may be quicker to 100mph, but it would be close.

    Braking between the 14 and Gix would be interesting. The 14 being lower and less likely to stoppie, but the Gix being much lighter...would probably still be the Gix that stops quicker.
